Johnson County Hunger Coalition has brought together the voices of churches, organizations and individuals, to influence and change the practices that cause food insecurity to persist in our community .
We are here to educate and equip people to advocate for programs that can help end hunger in Johnson County, Texas and to support projects that are currently reflecting these efforts.

Together, we work behind the scenes to build capacity, manage our digital infrastructure, and coordinate with local partners to ensure no family in our community goes hungry. Coalition Spotlight
Nature’s Open Door Outreach Services, Inc. is a Keene-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger and promoting health through sustainable gardening. They grow fresh, organic fruits and vegetables to feed local families, individuals, and seniors in need.
Key Offerings:

Fresh Produce Distribution: Supplying homegrown, nutritious food directly to the community.

"Grow Your Own Food" Training: Educating residents on backyard and container gardening techniques, no matter their living space.

Garden-to-Table Cooking: Teaching families how to prepare healthy meals using fresh, local harvests.
By connecting sustainability with community action, Nature's Open Door works alongside the Coalition to cultivate hope and healthier lives across North Texas.
